Effectively removes hundreds of contaminants from water. Fits conveniently in refrigerator door to store cold filtered water, and is easy to lift and carry. Flip top for easy refilling. Handle design easy for pouring. Filter reduces iron, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, lead and other dissolved metals and hydrogen sulfide, and inhibit bacterial growth, algae, fungi, scale and other microorganisms.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Filter works great but pitcher not designed well
The filter does a great job of filtering out the impurities, and makes the water taste noticeably better, but the design of the pitcher itself could be much better. The pouring spout is very small, and the flip top sometimes comes loose when you're pouring. Also, the shape of the pitcher itself makes it feel unwieldy and unbalanced when you're pouring from a full pitcher.
The design of the Brita pitcher is much better--unfortunately, Brita filters do not filter out nearly as much stuff as Crystal Quest, which is why I chose to switch to Crystal Quest. If CQ would redesign their pitcher to be more "user friendly" it would be a terrific product.

2,000 gallons filtering? I think not.
I used this pitcher for about 6 weeks and it was 6 weeks too many. This pitcher is poorly designed. It is small, narrow and the capacity is not even close to the 10 cups they claim when the filter reservoir is present. The spout is too narrow so it pours slowly. Water glugs out and splashes all over if you tilt it too far. The lid must be held with your free hand when pouring or it will eject if any water is present in the reservoir. The handle is too narrow and is not comfortable to hold, especially when full.
Even worse than the design of the pitcher, the filters only lasted for a few weeks! I went through three filters in the six weeks I used this piece of junk! Yes, you read that right. The first day, your water will flow through quickly. The second day, it slows noticeably. By the fourth day, it starts to take a LONG time to pass the water through the filter. By the end of two weeks, it could no longer pass a full reservoir of water through the filter...
Water does not seem as pure as other filters
Ran first two pitchers of water and then tested with TDS HM digital water tester. Reads 106. Average reading for my area is 148. My Zero Water pitcher reads 0 after filtering. Zero Water recommends changing filter when reading reaches 6. I will return this item and continue to use the Zero Water pitcher filtering system. Amazon sells water testing devices.
Update: Here is what I received from service person at CQ:
You will not receive a "0" TDS reading from that particular filter as it is
not a Deionizing/Demineralizing or Reverse Osmosis Filter. To get a TDS of
"0" you must remove the ions and minerals from the water, which can result
in an acidic pH reading as well. We do not do this therefore your TDs will
be the same as your faucet water sometimes a bit higher due to the Eagle
Redox Alloy(R) media inside the filter. A "high" TDS reading does not
necessarily mean bad or unfiltered water.
