The JetMaxx bagged canister vacuum uses the s-bag. It uses HEPA filtration and its HEPA filter is washable. Storage

After vacuuming unplug the power cord, rewind the power cord by pushing the cord rewind button. (take hold of the plug to prevent it striking you). The vacuum can be stored upright, or laid down. Carry the vacuum cleaner using the handle on top. Note: Do not pull or carry by cord.

Getting the Best Results

Hard Floors: Use the bare floor brush. Use the power nozzle. (Brushroll OFF)

Carpets : Use the power nozzle. (Brushroll ON)

Crevices, corners, etc.: Use the crevice tool.

Curtains, lightweight fabrics, etc.: Use the dusting brush. Reduce suction power if necessary.

Frames, bookshelves, etc.: Use the dusting brush.

Upholstered furniture: Use the upholstery tool.

S-Bag® Indicator and Changing the S-Bag®

For peak performance the S-Bag® should be changed when full. The S-Bag® indicator window will fill red when full.The S-Bag® full indicator may also signify that the bag is blocked (occasionally caused by very fine dust) which will cause loss of suction and may result in overheating. If this occurs change the bag even if it is not full. To check the S-Bag® full indicator, the cleaner must be switched on.

Replacing the S-Bag® 1. The S-Bag® should be replaced when the indicator window is red. 2. Open the front lid and lift out the Air Basket containing the S-Bag®. 3. Open the Air Basket and lift out the S-Bag® by pulling the cardboard tab up. This automatically seals the S-Bag® and prevents dust and debris from leaking out. 4. Insert a new S-Bag® by pushing the cardboard through the groove slots of the Air Basket, close the Air Basket lid, and put the Air Basket back into the cleaner. Note: Be sure to replace the S-Bag® each time after vacuuming carpet-cleaning powder. Be sure to use only Genuine Electrolux S-Bag®.

Some good, Some Bad
Well I love the suction, and the power upholstery attachment, however there are a number of serious design flaws. The worst flaw is the hose, it is very cheap and stiff, although it can theoretically swivel on both ends, you will have to twist it with your hands for it to do so. The hose comes out of the canister at a nearly vertical angle so there is not enough sideways force to make it swivel even if they did have a half way decent swivel attachment. The result is that the hose is constantly kinking and every time you move a few feet the canister flips upside down. Adding to the flipability of the vacuum are the two large wheels on the sides that prevent the canister from turning easily. Rotating wheels would have been a big help here. I have a 1980's Hover canister that has never flipped. If I could buy an old Hover I would.

Not bad, but falls short in a few areas
We ordered this canister vacuum because we wanted a canister type vac for versatility, a bagged as opposed to bagless, and a pet hair attachment. The Jetmaxx seemed to have a lot of good features and the build quality is pretty good, but ultimately it fell too short of expectations to be a keeper.

After taking the Jetmaxx for a test drive against a Panasonic Optiflow, we noted the following positives and negatives:

Pros:
-Jetmaxx has a long 5-year warranty.
-HEPA filtration and included filter is washable.
-21' retractable cord.
-Full bag indicator.
-Fairly quiet operation, especially with canister running only. Power nozzle definitely ups the decibels, but still not as loud as the Eureka Boss upright we were replacing.
-Good selection of included tools: wide, high quality bare floor brush, crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush.
-"Crush-proof" 7' hose.
-Quality filters.
-Convenient dust bag basket...
i love this vacuum
i haven't had any problems with this vacuum. i bought it to replace a two year old sears kenmore, which was an expensive clunker that fell apart, so we decided to buy a cheap canister. bought this in sam's club for around 250.00. and fell in love with it from the first day. the suction is terrific, The hose is a bit stiff and does fight you and it could swivel better, but the canister stays put on the floor and follows you well. The attachments are easy to get to, easy to get on and off. The vac.just does the job like a good little elf. i've had this for about four months now and actually enjoy using it. far superior to the big, pricey kenmore. smaller but just as powerful. the brush head is great. very wide, so it covers a large area an easy to get under furniture. i am planning to get another one for upstairs to replace that kenmore. i highly recc. this item.

Toss out the plastic wrench
Every time I had to change the filter, I'd cringe, cuss and yell "Why is this stupid thing made of plastic? Why is the handle so short? Curse this company this wrench is useless!" I'd tug and tug, arms and back sore, until the casement would finally loosen, ... then I found this metel one.

Seriously, it's kind of pricy but if you're sick of struggling with the plastic wrench, splurge, this wrench will make the task of changing the filter a hundred, no, a million times easier.

Well made replacement part, though some water-hammer
The part seems well made and fits correctly into my Aprilaire humidifier, doing what it should as a replacement part. The only downside is that when it turns off, there is a water-hammer sound that I didn't have with the old solenoid. I'm not sure what difference in construction would cause it, though this valve body is metal instead of plastic.

Product was just as described. Easy to install, and fit perfectly. A good buy. I would recommend this product for anyone who has the Aprilair humidifier that uses this valve.

Great filters!

This was one of the best investments I've ever made. The cleanest water. period. It's a decently easy install even for a poozer like me who has no experience plumbing. There are also video tutorials online to help you out if you can't follow the directions. AWESOME! BUY ONE OR DRINK CRAPPY WATER!!!

It was easy to install. It has a larger tank, 4 gallons, so I don,t run out in the middle of filling water bottles. I have a pier & beam House & was able to put the tank under the floor so it hardly uses any cabinet space. Love it.

First stage filtration is when the water enters the cartridge, it is passed through a 1 micron prefilter that removes suspended particles, such as silt, sediment, sand, rust, dirt,. In the second next stage, the water passes through a bed of a media made of a special high-purity alloy blend of two dissimilar metals - copper and zinc KDF55 This media, is a major advancement in water treatment technology that works on the electro-chemical and spontaneous-oxidation-reduction (redox) principles. Chlorine is instantaneously and almost inexhaustibly oxidized. Tests on this cartridge have shown 99+% chlorine removal past 15,000 gallons of water while a carbon cartridge of comparable volume drops below 90% effectiveness after only 4,000 gallons. Iron and hydrogen sulfide are oxidized into insolubable matter and attach to the surface of the media. Heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and aluminum are removed from the water by the electrochemical process. They are attracted to the surface of the media, much like a magnet. The media inhibits bacteria growth throughout the entire unit (in fact, has been shown to reduce it up to 90%!), eliminating the need for silver, commonly used in carbon-only filters.

Third stage granulated activated carbon (GAC) is universally recognized and widely used as an effective adsorbent for a wide variety of organic contaminants, such as herbicides, pesticides, industrial chemicals, and trihalomethanes (THM's). Carbon-only filters must also use their capacity for chlorine removal, resulting in a shortened life. We use a high-grade coconut shell carbon that is most effective at removing chemicals. As a result, it is more effective than other carbon types in removing trihalomethanes (THMs) and other chemicals from municipally supplied water.

Copper?
This is a question, not a review. Since the 2nd stage of this filter uses copper to react with and remove other heavy metals...how much COPPER does it leave in the drinking water? The Romans originally used nice easy-to-work copper for their plumbing, but learned to substitute lead pipes for it, because the lead poisoning was much slower than the copper poisoning.

Wonderful filtration combo
I originally purchased a big berkey with black carbon filters which ultimately broke apart at the base (cheap poxy). After looking i cautiously bought this combo about 4 months ago. I have not been disappointed. It filters wonderfully and is of better quality than the black carbon filters (in my experience).

I like these better than the black
These seam to filter great and the build quality is better than the old vs black filters. I had the old vs of the black filters fail at the base on two sets.
The perfect solution to water prep concerns
This is an awesome filter system.
The ceramic filters are superior to other filters in that they will last for many years.unlike the OTHERS that will only last months.

Sintra Five Stage Counter Top Reverse Osmosis system begins with stage 1, a five micron Sediment filter that traps particulate matter like dirt, rust, and silt that will affect the taste and appearance of your water. The Ultimate for the Price
After going on a search for a product that would deal effectively with hexavalent chromium-6 and discovering that reverse osmosis was the best choice, I started looking for the recommended standards for a good system--which included 5 stages (for filtering effectiveness and to extend the life of the membrane), among other things. The other really critical component was an alkaline post-filter to reinsert a healthy dose of minerals so that the final water was not overly acidic and closer to natural spring water (very few systems offer that). I was also hoping for a countertop model that was totally portable, since I'm living in a rental and didn't want to deal with installing a spigot on the sink. This unit provides all that and more (leak detector, filter replacement indicator, etc.). My only small disappointment was an error in the original product description, indicating the unit had carbon block pre-filters (slightly better quality than the granular activated carbon filters...

Awesome product, easy to setup, great tasting water.
This system was easy to setup. It included easy to follow instructions and I managed to get it working in only a few minutes. Pure, great tasting water was ready in a jiffy! Water purification rate is about 1 gallon per hour: I keep rotating and storing two, 1 gallon bottles every day to fill up water and works out perfectly for me.
This system was exactly what I was looking for: a reverse osmosis system, portable and not requiring any cutting and gluing of my existing pipes as I live in an apartment and am not permitted to modify the plumbing. I was hesitant to buy, especially after reading some of the other reviews criticizing the setup which sounded complicated. But I have to say rest assured, setup is very easy and intuitive. Not to mention great tasting reverse osmosis water right in your home.
I did not test the water quality after installation myself, but I believe the numerous reviews around the web praising this system for removing impurities, especially heavy...

Good Portable RO system
It takes about 2 hours to fill up a 5 gallon watter jug but having fresh great-tasting water is well worth it. Before adding this RO system to my kitchen sink, the TDS (total disolved solids) was around 500-600. Now, with the RO filter in place, the TDS has dropped to a mere 30!
do the job for its price..
I have this product for about 1 month now. So far its performing good. Installation was fairly quick and easy.

Water rejection is higher, but was acceptable to me. Other key thing I didn't like was very slow rate of water, so I have to put tank to store water instead of using it directly. And this need monitoring when tank is fill.

Taste of water is good.

AP910R whole house water filter
This is a replacement filter for a whole house water filter system. The filter is good for 100,000 gallons or 1 year. At the end of the year I began looking for a replacement.

These come in two versions - sediment only, and sediment plus chlorine and other filtering, the latter being more expensive. These filters were not easy to find; I assume they're either uncommon or new. Eventually I found them at various suppliers and also on Amazon.

Amazon's price was not the lowest. But with Prime 2-day delivery, I bought on Amazon anyway. Delivery was more like 4-5 days, unusual. The filter comes with a separate 1-year timer. Start the timer, and a year later it begins to beep. Replacement of this filter is easy - takes 5-10 minutes.

I'm giving the product 3 stars because of its price and the longer than normal delivery time. Next time I'll re-check competing prices.

Upgraded system
This replaced an older version of the same that had what appeared to be a PVC-based filter holder and cheap plastic hoses. The new version of this is a much sleeker, stainless steel filter holder and stainless steel (at least on the outside) hoses. It also comes with one filter (which is what the picture on Amazon is of). The only thing it doesn't come with is teflon tape, which is a dollar or two at any hardware store. Five stars for the higher quality kit, and reduced worries of leakage (our last one eventually burst a tiny hole in the PVC-based filter holder), and it appears we had some dripping from the cheap hoses.

Does the job, but a bit precariously
This WORKS wonderfully! It gets the chlorine out - I can tell, by the smell and the feel, the difference when I do or don't use this. So I'm very glad to have this!

It withstands the water's fast flow - which is fantastic!

As I read in previous reviews, sand/grit does come out of it when being used. I've used this around 10 times, and sand is still coming out of it. It doesn't bother me, though, as it sits at the bottom of the tub straight below the filter, and it rinses out of the tub without a problem.

The main problem I have with this is the hanging contraption. It didn't hang where I needed it to, so I tried to pull out one end of the snapped-in plastic handle in order to reposition it, and it broke. It's VERY cheaply made (the handle). Once you pop it in, you're not going to move it, unless you break it. So, I attached some textured pony tail holders to hold it in place! (My tub spout is totally curved with nothing specific to be able to...

Dissappointed
I bought this product for my baby's bath water. I was dissappointed to have spent all that money and then see that this only works if you have a stopper on the top of your faucet like in the picture to hold it on there. Otherwise, it will keep falling off when the bath water is running. So I had to tie a string to the handle to help hold it in place but even then it keeps slipping off when the water is running. So usually I have to hold it while the bath water is running or keep checking to see if it's slipped off, so that was a big dissappointment. I do not have time to sit there as the bath water runs so I'm working on rigging something else up. The bath water does seem softer though. It also leaves some residue granules by the drain where the water is being filtered. I had intended on buying the shower filter as well but since I'm so dissapointed in this I don't know if it's worth spending more money. Hope this review helps.

Watts Premier 20 Micron Big Blue Water Filter
I finally found an excellent water replacement filter cartridge that lasts and provides good flow. We've a lot a clay where sediment we live and the other filters clog way too easy. The pleated paper ones work best, but the 20 micron rating has held up the best for me. I had 8 people in the house for a total of 4 weeks over the holidays, and I'm on the same filter for 2 months and it's still going strong. So far, I'm a happy customer.

Filters ok, smell remains
We're on a well, out in the country. Lots of iron and sediment and sulfurous odor. I installed this in a GE Whole House filter housing.

Flow rate seems fine and I think it's filtering but it only took a week and a half for the sulfur odor to return. So far the GE filters have been the best.
